Standard Length Was Built For an Average Golfer Who Doesn't Exist

Rack clubs assume a stock length based on generic height brackets. We start every session with your wrist-to-floor measurement instead, then confirm it against your posture and setup at address — because two golfers of the same height can need clubs three-quarters of an inch apart.

The One Measurement We Never Skip

Why Wrist-to-Floor Comes Before Anything Else

Height charts group golfers into broad bands and hand everyone in that band the same stock length. Wrist-to-floor distance — the gap between your wrist crease and the ground while standing relaxed — is a far more direct read on your actual arm-and-torso proportions, which is what determines how far the clubhead needs to travel to reach the ball at a good posture.

We take the reading with a stadiometer-style measuring post, cross-check it against your setup posture on video, and only then start pulling demo shafts to confirm the number on the launch monitor.

Why Height Alone Falls Short

Two golfers can share a 5’10″ height and still need driver lengths nearly an inch apart, because torso-to-arm ratio varies independently of overall height. A wrist-to-floor reading captures that difference directly instead of guessing at it.

Every Club Gets Its Own Length Check

We measure and confirm length club by club — a set built to one blanket number rarely gaps correctly from wedge to driver.

Why It Matters

Off-the-Rack Length vs. a Wrist-to-Floor Fit

Wrong length shows up as strike location spread across the face, not just as a distance complaint. Here's a real seven-iron dispersion comparison from a client's own set, before and after a length correction of just over half an inch.

Notes From Golfers Who Got Measured

★★★★★

I'd been playing standard-length irons for twenty years. Cutting them down three-eighths of an inch tightened my dispersion more than any swing lesson I've ever paid for.

★★★★★

The wrist-to-floor measurement took two minutes and explained more about my miss pattern than every fitting I'd had before, which just used a height chart.

★★★★★

Full bag length audit found my wedges were two-plus inches shorter than my irons relatively speaking. Reordered the whole progression and short game finally feels connected.
