Questions We Get Before Booking
The most common things clients ask before and after a length fitting session, answered straight.
What exactly is a wrist-to-floor measurement?
It's the distance from the crease of your wrist down to the floor while you stand relaxed with arms hanging naturally. It's a far more direct read on your build than a height chart, since torso length and arm length vary independently of overall height.
Do I need to be a good golfer to get fit?
Not at all. Length fitting benefits golfers at every skill level — a poorly matched length can quietly cause inconsistent strike location regardless of how good your swing mechanics are.
How long does a fitting session take?
Single-club fittings (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag length assessment covering every club typically takes 2–3 hours.
Do I have to buy clubs after my fitting?
No. There's never any obligation to purchase. You'll receive a written length-and-lie report with our recommendations and can decide later. If you do order, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the purchase.
What should I bring to my session?
Bring your current clubs relevant to the fitting, the shoes you normally wear to play, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it.
How is wrist-to-floor measurement different from just trying demo clubs off the wall?
Swinging a demo club and guessing whether it "feels" right by length is unreliable — perception of length is notoriously inaccurate once adrenaline and a new grip are involved. A wrist-to-floor reading gives us a starting number before a single ball is struck, which we then confirm on the launch monitor.
How long does it take to receive my new clubs after ordering?
Most builds are completed in-house within one week of ordering, since we cut, build, and re-measure components on-site rather than sending orders to an outside factory queue.
Do you fit left-handed golfers?
Yes. Our demo wall includes left-handed heads across every major category, and the wrist-to-floor measurement process works identically for right- and left-handed golfers.
Can I get fit if I already love my current clubs?
Absolutely — many clients come in simply to verify their current length and lie specs are correct, or to get a wrist-to-floor baseline on file for future reference.
Do you offer follow-up adjustments after a build?
Yes. Any length or lie adjustment needed within 30 days of a build is included at no additional charge, as your swing settles into the new specs.
What areas do you serve?
Our studio is located in Missoula, Montana, and we regularly serve golfers throughout the surrounding valley, including Lolo, Frenchtown, Florence, and Stevensville.
